On the occasion of the UN Climate Change Conference 2021 (COP 26), the NGFS, which the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) has been a member since 4 October 2022, published the Glasgow Declaration.

The Glasgow Declaration emphasizes the readiness of the NGFS to contribute to the global activities carried out to meet the goals of the Paris Agreement, through the strengthening of joint commitment to the greening of the financial system.

A large number of NGFS members published their declarations, strategies or policies related to the fight against climate change during COP26. The CBCG adopted the Central Bank of Montenegro Policy Related to Climate Change Challenges on 29 March 2022, in which expresses its willingness to lead an active policy of strengthening the resilience of the financial system to the challenges of the climate change, in accordance with its competences, available instruments and resources.
