CBCG Governor Meets the Addiko Bank Management

Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) Radoje Žugić met today with the Chairperson of the Supervisory Board of Addiko Bank AD Podgorica Tadej Krašovec and the Chairperson of the Bank’s Management Board, Christoph Schoen.

At the meeting, they discussed the condition and trends in Montenegro’s banking market in the light of the current situation, with particular focus on Addiko Bank’s operations. They stated that the banking sector showed high resilience during the crisis caused by the COVID-19 pandemic and that banking operations indicators confirm its stability.

Mr Krašovec said that, following recognised clients’ needs and banking sector trends, Addiko Bank continually confirms the quality of its products and services and pursues a responsible risk management policy.

In addition to supporting natural persons, Governor Žugić pointed out the need for banks’ support to the real sector, which is particularly important during the crisis.

The interlocutors concluded that frequent and open communication of banks with the supervisor confirmed full transparency in operations and contributed to the system’s stability.
