Global Money Week begins

Global Money Week, whose theme is “Save today. Safe tomorrow” will take place between March 9-17, 2015. Global Money Week is an event initiated by Child and Youth Finance International, aimed at strengthening the global economic and financial literacy, as well as spreading financial knowledge and skills.
Being a socially responsible institution, the Central Bank of Montenegro undoubtedly gives great importance to financial education of children and youth in Montenegro. For this reason, during this year’s event it will carry out numerous activities that include a large number of children and young people.
On Monday, 9 March 2015, the students of Secondary School of Economics “Mirko Vešović” will visit the Central Bank of Montenegro where they will attend a lecture on central banking and identifying counterfeit money.
One day later, on 10 March 2015, the children from the Orphanage “Mladost”, Bijela will visit the CBCG’s Money Museum in Cetinje where they will attend a workshop titled “Welcome to the world of money” and take a tour to see the museum’s exhibit.
On Wednesday, 11 March 2015, representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro will organise an educational workshop in the High School “Slobodan Škerović”, titled “How to identify counterfeit money”.
The following day, on 12 March 2015, representatives of the Central Bank of Montenegro will organise a workshop for Roma children in the branch class of the Primary School “Božidar Vuković Podgoričanin”, titled “Welcome to the world of money”.
On Friday, 13 March and Monday, 16 March 2015, the CBCG’s representatives will organise this workshop for lower grades students of primary schools in Boan, Žabljak, Murino as well as Gusinje, Ulcinj and Sutomore. Also, the aforementioned workshop will be held in the Resource centre for hearing and speech in Kotor.
Through the mentioned activities, the Central Bank of Montenegro enables Montenegrin children and young people to become a part of a global campaign that gathers several million participants.
