Green transition towards a Sustainable and Successful Economy

The CBCG Governor, Ms Irena Radović, met with Ms Biljana Braithwaite, the CEO of Sustineri Partners and the founder of ESG Adria Summit. The Summit is a regional platform for the highest-level dialogue on current global and regional sustainability issues and trends.

This year’s second consecutive ESG Adria Summit will be in Tivat from 24 to 26 April 2024. It will bring together business leaders, representatives of governments, international organisations and civil society, and sustainability experts from the Adria region and beyond. The Summit will be an opportunity for dialogue on new solutions, initiatives and investments that can help accelerate the implementation of the ESG agenda in the countries of the region.

Governor Radović and Ms Braithwaite discussed the event’s importance for promoting ESG standards and empowering the public and private sectors to prioritise sustainability in their work.

They highlighted the importance of the green transition in the financial sector and agreed that banks proactive in this segment will ensure a competitive advantage on the market, and thus more successful operations.

Governor Radović announced the CBCG’s interest in being a part of regional and international initiatives on the green transition plan, which will imply the exchange of experiences and best practices and contribute to a faster transition to a sustainable economy.
