ANNOUNCEMENT: The CBCG Governor at the Bled Strategic Forum and visit to the Bank of Slovenia

The CBCG Governor, Irena Radović, will participate in the next two days at the Bled Strategic Forum at the invitation of the Vice President of the Government of the Republic of Slovenia and Minister of Foreign and European Affairs Tanja Fajon and the acting Governor of the Bank of Slovenia, Primož Dolenc.
Governor Radović will speak on the panel “Shaping Europe’s Economic Resilience: Strategic Responses, Integration of Payment Systems, and the Digital Euro”, which will gather high representatives of European institutions and the governors of the central banks of Slovenia and Estonia. The panel will focus on the role of payment systems in strengthening European economic resilience and the global challenges brought by the digitalization of financial services.
As part of her visit to Slovenia, Governor Radović will have a number of bilateral activities at the Bank of Slovenia, including a meeting with Governor Dolenc, and meetings with the Governing Board and management of the Bank of Slovenia on the topic of improving cooperation, with an emphasis on integration processes and the development of payment systems.
The participation of the CBCG Governor at the jubilee Bled Strategic Forum affirms Montenegro’s contribution to regional and European economic and financial flows. At the same time, it confirms the CBCG’s commitment to the stability, trust and reform strides of Montenegro, but also the importance of candidate countries for EU membership, whose progress in harmonising with European standards and early integration into the EU’s single economic and financial ecosystem, even before full membership, directly contributes to strengthening European economic resilience and strategic autonomy.
This year’s 20th jubilee edition of the Bled Strategic Forum is being held under the motto “A Runaway World” and will be dedicated to Europe’s role in building a more stable and resilient future in the face of increasingly complex global geopolitical and economic challenges. Since its inception in 2006, the Bled Strategic Forum has evolved into the leading international conference in Central and South-Eastern Europe, traditionally bringing together presidents of states and prime ministers, European commissioners, governors of central banks and other international leaders.
