Governor Radović at the International Conference on Payment Systems in Ohrid

The CBCG Governor Irena Radović will participate in the international conference organised by the National Bank of North Macedonia and de Nederlandsche Bank, dedicated to payment systems and market infrastructures, entitled Rewiring Payments for the Digital Era, which will take place on 28–29 October in Ohrid.

The conference will bring together governors and senior representatives of central banks and the financial sector from the region and Europe, and representatives from the European Central Bank (ECB), the European Commission (EC), and the European Payments Council (EPC), to exchange knowledge and experiences on the latest trends in payment systems and market infrastructures.

This year’s event will focus on topics such as SEPA and the European payment infrastructure, cross-border payments, central bank digital currencies (CBDCs), as well as the growing impact of fintech and open banking on the development of modern payment solutions.

As one of the conference’s key speakers, Governor Radović will present Montenegro’s experiences in the process of joining the SEPA system and the CBCG’s activities aimed at improving the domestic payment infrastructure.
