Bilateral Activities with the HNB in Financial Account Statistics Ended

The visit of experts from the Croatian National Bank (HNB) to the CBCG from 8 to 12 July 2024 successfully ended the bilateral cooperation with the HNB within Phase II of the regional IPA Programme for Strengthening the Central Bank Capacities in the Western Balkans with a view to the Integration to the European System of Central Banks.

This expert mission resulted in the recapitulation of the developed model of financial accounts carried out in line with the European regulations and the ESA 2010 methodology.

Financial account statistics contains a detailed description of the entire economy's balance and transactions of financial assets and liabilities. The data used to compile financial account statistics are obtained from various data sources for all economic industries. Therefore, in this project phase, the work focused on additional quality checks of the produced data and the continuation of data processing in the defined model.

Moreover, during the mission, they checked the functionality, tested the IT tools used to compile financial account statistics, and discussed steps for future activities.
