CBCG and Banca d'Italia Finalise Bilateral Activities in Cloud Computing within the IPA Project

The experts from the Banca d’Italia visited the CBCG on 8 and 9 April 2025, thus completing the bilateral activities of these institutions concerning cloud computing within the IPA regional project “Programme for Strengthening the Central Bank Capacities in the Western Balkans with a view to the Integration to the European System of Central Banks - Phase II”.

During the two-day visit, the last of the three visits, the experts discussed the possibilities of cloud transformation of parts of the CBCG’s information system, so that it could respond as adequately as possible to contemporary functional and security challenges.

Throughout the project, Banca d’Italia’s experts shared their rich professional experience from creating and implementing an information system based on cloud computing concepts with their CBCG colleagues.

Cooperation with the Banca d’Italia, an ESCB member, is essential for the CBCG, for improving business processes and professional development of project participants and harmonising the regulatory and operational framework with central banking standards in the EU.
