CBCG and ECB Working Meetings

As part of its visit to Montenegro to prepare a regular annual assessment of the Economic Reforms Programme of Montenegro 2024-2026 (ERP), the European Central Bank (ECB) delegation met with the CBCG team, led by Vice-Governor Nikola Fabris.

The meetings were focused on the macroeconomic outlook and the current situation in Montenegro’s banking sector. The discussions also included current and planned activities on further harmonisation of banking sector regulation with the EU acquis.

The ERP is the key document for the medium-term programming of Montenegro’s macroeconomic and fiscal policy and serves as an instrument for planning the country’s economic policy and managing reforms. As a candidate country, Montenegro prepares this document in the context of the EU pre-accession surveillance.
