CBCG delegation at the meeting with NRW.BANK

On the third day of their stay in Washington D.C., the Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Mr. Radoje Žugić, and the Director of the Department for Financial Stability, Research and Statistics at the CBCG, Mrs. Marijana Mitrović, met with representatives of NRW.BANK, Mr. Frank Richter and Mr. Christian Hardt.

The representatives of NRW.BANK, a bank that has been awarded high ratings by all three leading rating agencies, expressed their interest in cooperation with the CBCG in the area of international reserves placement. 

The meeting participants agreed in the assessment that due to the pronounced uncertainty caused by the high geopolitical risk which, inter alia, has led to a worrying increase in inflation, it is currently more desirable to invest in short-term securities.

It was agreed that the representatives of NRW.BANK will send their proposal on the types and methods of investment to be considered by the competent departments in the Central Bank.
