CBCG Governor Meets Newly Appointed Swiss Ambassador

Today, the CBCG Governor, Irena Radović, met H.E. Anne Lugon-Moulin, Switzerland’s newly appointed non-resident ambassador. The meeting initiated a dialogue to strengthen cooperation between the CBCG and Swiss institutions, particularly in the areas of central banking, economy, and finance.


The CBCG Governor wished Ambassador Lugon-Moulin a successful mandate, expressing her confidence that the relationship between the two countries and their institutions will deepen in the coming period, benefiting both parties and contributing to Montenegro’s economic stability and sustainable development.


During their constructive conversation, Governor Radović highlighted the CBCG’s commitment to collaborate with Swiss institutions in enhancing the CBCG’s institutional capacities on its path to membership in the European System of Central Banks.


In this context, they explored the possibilities for cooperating with the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) and CBCG’s joining the special Bilateral Support Programme for central banks to improve the regulatory framework and support the central bank’s modernisation.


Ambassador Lugon-Moulin congratulated the governor on the CBCG’s achievements, noting that Switzerland sees Montenegro as a strategic partner and supports its efforts as a leader in the region on the way to EU membership.
