CBCG Open Doors Day: 25 Schools Celebrate 25 Years
16/03/2026
The CBCG welcomed high school pupils from across the country for an Open Doors Day, organised as part of the celebration of Global Money Week and the institution’s 25th anniversary.
This year’s event held special symbolic significance: in the year that CBCG celebrates 25 years of existence, 25 high schools from all over Montenegro participated in the Open Doors Day. In this way, the institution’s milestone was celebrated precisely with the young people for whom the programme was designed.
Under the slogan of this year’s campaign, “Do You Speak Finance?”, high school pupils had the opportunity to expand their knowledge of money, saving, payment cards, online shopping, payment security, and recognising financial fraud in an engaging and practical way through discussions, real-life examples, interactive quizzes, and Q&A sessions.
The students engaged in conversation with Governor Irena Radović and Vice Governors Zorica Kalezić, Gordana Kalezić, and Milan Remiković, who answered their questions and explained the role and importance of the CBCG and financial literacy in everyday life.
“We are especially pleased to celebrate our 25th anniversary with young people. The world of finance is already a part of your daily lives, which is why it is important to develop good financial habits and a responsible approach to money as early as possible. Financial literacy is not a topic reserved for adults; it is a practical life skill that helps you manage money more safely and responsibly,” said Governor Radović.
During the programme, students showed great interest and actively participated in discussions, sharing their thoughts, asking questions, and commenting on situations they already encounter in daily life. Through dialogue with the CBCG management, they also learned about the key responsibilities of the CBCG, particularly its role in maintaining financial system stability and strengthening trust in the banking sector.
A special segment of the event was the knowledge quiz, where pupils tested their understanding of basic financial concepts and the role and responsibilities of CBCG. In a competitive and dynamic atmosphere, they demonstrated impressive knowledge, teamwork, and eagerness to learn about topics relevant to their everyday lives.
The team from Grammar School “Petar I Petrović Njegoš” in Danilovgrad, consisting of Filip Šutović, Dušan Tepša, and Matija Stojanović won by the first prize. The second prize went to the team from School for Secondary and Upper Vocational education “Sergije Stanić” in Podgorica, while the third prize was awarded to the team from Secondary Vocational School “Danilo Kiš” from Budva. The most successful teams received appropriate prizes.
By organising the Open Doors Day, CBCG once again reaffirmed its commitment to promoting financial literacy among young people and preparing them for responsible and secure management of personal finances.
