CBCG Representatives Intern at the BCL
12/11/2024
CBCG representatives were on an internship at the Central Bank of Luxembourg (BCL) as part of the IPA regional project “Programme for Strengthening the Central Bank Capacities in the Western Balkans with a view to the Integration to the European System of Central Banks - Phase II”.

During the five-day visit, the CBCG representatives had an opportunity to learn about international reserve management practices from their Luxembourg colleagues. Additionally, they engaged in discussions covering topics such as strategic and tactical asset positioning, ESG investing and repo transactions. International payments and back-office operations focused on migration to and implementation of the ISO20022 standard, trends in modern payment systems, and securities and repo transactions.
The CBCG has a long-standing cooperation with BCL, which, as an ESCB member, is an important partner in managing international reserves and payments abroad. This cooperation began in 2009 and allows the CBCG to continuously monitor global trends and practices.
