CBM and NGO “ICT Cortex” signed a Memorandum on Implementing Joint Activities
The Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), Mr Radoje Žugić, and the Executive Director of the NGO “ICT Cortex”, Tarik Zaimović, signed a Memorandum on Implementing Joint Activities today. The Memorandum aims to intensify cooperation between CBCG and ICT Cortex in developing new technologies in the financial market.
The Memorandum on Implementing Joint Activities of the CBCG and ICT Cortex is the basis for developing institutional mechanisms for joint action towards creating innovative solutions in financial technologies and developing new business models adapted to the modern market requirements.
Pursuant to the Memorandum, the CBM and ICT Cortex will cooperate in areas of common interest, such as research and solving regulatory and institutional challenges for the FinTech development in banking and payment services, financial education in banking and payment services (FinTech conferences, hackathons and other public initiatives related to the FinTech development in banking and payment services, and the exchange of knowledge related to the application of regulations in banking and payment services.
During the signing, Governor Žugić emphasised that “CBCG supports the FinTech development in banking and payment services. It will give full impetus to cooperation between banks and FinTech companies to meet the clients’ needs.”
The Executive Director of “ICT Cortex”, Tarik Zaimović, expressed satisfaction with the CBCG initiative. He assessed that “the signing of the Memorandum is an excellent basis for further improvement and digitalisation of Montenegro’s financial market.”
