Due the increased public’s interest on the CBCG’s position regarding the establishing of the Development Bank of Montenegro, we note that the CBCG supports the establishing of the Development Bank of Montenegro, that would be engaged in with fostering the establishment, development and viability of MSM businesses in Montenegro, financing development and infrastructural projects, securing exports from non-market risks, including the support to green economy and innovation, in accordance with the European Commission’s recommendations for Montenegro in the EU accession process.

In its opinion to the draft Law on the Development Bank of Montenegro of 6 August 2024, the CBCG highlighted the need of additional compliance of some proposed solutions with the internal legal system and European legislation and standards.
