The CBCG Governor, Irena Radović, PhD, officially started her mandate today.

The handover of duty between the new CBCG Governor, Irena Radović, PhD, and the former Governor, Radoje Žugić, PhD, took place in the CBCG premises when the new Governor officially started her mandate.
“I promise a lot of work and a legitimate work following the public interest. The CBCG is both a regulator and supervisor, and guarantees the financial system’s stability on which our country’s development and our citizens’ standards depend. I promise equal and non-selective treatment of all market participants. A sound financial sector that follows the best European standards will be a priority. The CBCG has the central role in this process and it will ensure it. We will be a reliable partner to the Government and market participants and an independent and strict supervisor of all credit institutions”, said Governor Radović after taking over the mandate.
Ms Radović is the first female Governor of the CBCG. At the session of 15 December 2023, the Parliament of Montenegro supported the proposal of the President of Montenegro, Jakov Milatović, and elected her as the new Governor with 58 out of 71 MPs voting.
