Governor Meets the NLB Banka AD Podgorica Management

The CBCG Governor, Ms. Irena Radović, met with the NLB Bank AD Podgorica Board of Directors of representatives, Mr. Martin Leberle, President, and Lana Đurasović, a Board Member.

The NLB Bank representatives presented this credit institution’s most important indicators in the previous year. They highlighted that “along with the strong position of capital and liquidity and the growing new loans, the NLB Bank’s assets quality is continuously improving”. Hence, the share of NPLs in the total loans in this bank was below the system-wide average NPL.


“Such results enable NLB Bank to further strengthen its market position, focusing its operations on stronger lending to MSMEs as the domestic economy’s backbone,” said Leberle. According to Leberle, the NLB group’s further plans relate to investments in the green economy and digital technologies.


Governor Radović pointed out that good performance indicators of banks are very important for the CBCG as they guarantee the banking system’s health and resilience. “The NLB Bank’s business parameters confirm this credit institution as an important player on the Montenegrin banking market. It additionally obliges you to continue working on improving services and enriching the offer to constantly improve the customer’s user experience,” announced the Governor.


The CBCG Governor particularly praised the active, socially responsible role of NLB Bank and welcomed the bank’s focus on green economy and sustainable development, strategically important components of future development that the CBCG has been promoting and supporting.
