Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro Meets the Management of Addiko Bank
The Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Mr. Radoje Žugić, met today the Chief Executive Officer of Addiko Bank AD Vienna, Mr. Herbert Juranek, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Addiko Bank AD Podgorica, Mr. Mirko Španović and the Chief Executive Officer of this bank, Mr. Christoph Schoen.
At today's meeting, the situation and trends on the banking market of Montenegro were discussed in the light of the current situation, with a special reference to the operations of Addiko Bank. It was pointed out that this bank, through efficient and successful operations, makes a significant contribution to maintaining safe and sound banking system in Montenegro. Also, the interlocutors agreed that Addiko Bank showed a high degree of social responsibility during the crisis caused by the coronavirus epidemic.
"The Central Bank, in close cooperation with all commercial banks in Montenegro, has created nine packages of measures whose implementation has mitigated the negative consequences of the crisis for the economy and population," said Governor Žugić. Representatives of Addiko Bank praised the coordination of the Central Bank in this segment and thanked for the open and partnership relation of the regulator.
Mr. Juranek pointed out that Addiko Group is making efforts to provide better service to its clients, at the global and Montenegrin markets, and that their activities are aimed at further strengthening of the market position and further increasing of business efficiency.
It is agreed to continue coordination and communication in terms of future activities.
