Instant Payments Workshop

As part of preparations for introducing the TIPS Clone system, the CBCG organised a workshop on various aspects of instant payments for representatives of the banking sector today.

The TIPS Clone platform will be developed based on the European Target Instant Payment Settlement (TIPS) system model and will enable Montenegro's citizens and the economy to send and receive payments in real time, anytime and from anywhere, 24/7/365 from July 2026.

The presentation held by Kjeld Herreman, an international expert with significant experience payment systems and payment transactions, was attended by more than 50 representatives of Montenegrin banks and members of the CBCG project team.

The CBCG continues with activities aimed on modernising the financial sector and integrating Montenegro into the European financial ecosystem, with continuous cooperation with the banking sector.
