“Savings Week” begins

Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro, Radoje Žugić and directors of all commercial banks operating in Montenegro, signed today the Agreement on implementation of the campaign ″Savings Week″, which, on the occasion of the World Savings Day, 31 October, has been implemented the thirteenth consecutive year.
Children born from 31 October to 6 November 2016, whose parents opened a savings book in one of Montenegrin commercial banks, the Central Bank paid 200 euros. Commercial bank which the parents have chosen, besides the saving book, paid another 200 euros. The amount of 400 euros will be deposited for one year. After the expiry of this period, parents can raise money or again deposit the money.
″Savings Week″ is dedicated to the children, and as in previous years, it is organized in cooperation with all commercial banks operating in Montenegro: Atlas Banka, Addiko banka, CKB, NLB Montenegro banka, Prva banka, Hipotekarna banka, Erste banka, Invest banka, Komercijalna banka AD Budva, Lovćen banka, Societe Generale banka, Nova banka, Universal Capital banka, Zirrat banka and Zapad banka.
The deadline for submission of the documents is 31 March 2017. Parents can open account with one of these banks, with the identity card of both parents and the Birth Certificate of a child.
In this traditional action, the Central Bank of Montenegro has so far donated about 290,000 euros to the children born in the ″Savings Week″, and only in the last year, the first 141 newborns received savings.
