Real economy
The CBCG collects statistical data on real economy from relevant institutions: Statistical Office of Montenegro, the Employment Agency of Montenegro (EAM), and the Ministry of Finance.
The most important real economy aggregate monitored is the gross domestic product (GDP), which represents the measure of a country’s economic activity. The CBCG takes quarterly and annual GDP data from Statistical Office of Montenegro and the Ministry of Finance.
The CBCG collects and monitors monthly data on industrial output, forestry, trade, consumer prices, producers’ prices, earnings, employment, unemployment, and tourism (number of tourists and tourist overnights), and quarterly data on forestry, construction, and transportation. All the aforesaid data are taken from Statistical Office of Montenegro, except for those on unemployment which are taken from the EAM.
