2026 CBCG Annual Award Competition

The CBCG has announced the 2026 CBCG Annual Award Competition for the best diploma/specialist, master’s, and doctoral thesis in the field of banking and monetary policy and theory. Through this initiative, the CBCG continues to uphold its tradition of supporting knowledge, excellence, and the development of professional expertise in this field, bearing in mind that the award will be granted for the 20th time.
The Award for the best diploma or specialist thesis amounts to 3,000 euros, 4,000 euros for the best master’s thesis, and 5,000 euros for the best doctoral thesis. In addition to the cash, the award also includes a plaque.
Citizens of Montenegro who defended their diploma thesis, specialist’s thesis, master’s thesis, or doctoral thesis in the previous calendar year at a university, faculty or college in Montenegro or abroad may compete in the Competition. The Commission, consisting of central banking experts, will select the best thesis governed by the principles of innovation, the possibility of application and the presented paper topic’s contemporaneity.

The Annual Award, awarded on the occasion of the Central Bank of Montenegro Day, 11 April, was established in 2007 to stimulate the development of scientific thought and promote young professionals in Montenegro. So far, the CBCG Annual Award has been granted to 53 recipients, including holders of diploma, master’s, and doctoral degrees.
