28/10/2026

Today, the CBCG awarded scholarship agreements to the third generation of scholarship holders under the "AcKnowledge the Knowledge" programme, through which it supports talented young people and their professional development.

CBCG scholarships for the 2026/2027 academic year have been awarded to ten final-year undergraduate and master’s students at universities in Montenegro: Almedin Mekić, Sanja Đukanović, Hana Ljuca, Zoran Šećković, Aleksandar Ivanović, Harun Katana, Teodora Biskupović, Ana Kovačević, Nikola Radovanović, and Jana Đurović.

Scholarships are awarded to students in the fields of economics, law, computing, and information technology, as a form of support for their exceptional academic achievements and further educational and professional advancement.

Addressing the scholarship holders and representatives of the academic community, CBCG Governor Irena Radović pointed out that through this programme, the CBCG aims to support excellence, while also providing young people with the opportunity to establish professional contacts, acquire new knowledge, and familiarise themselves with the institution's work during their studies.

“The CBCG is an institution that recognises quality, integrity, responsibility, and investment in its development. We want to give young people who demonstrate exceptional abilities through their work and results the opportunity to further develop that knowledge and, in the future, apply it to projects important to our institution and the state. I believe that your generations hold the potential to bring new ideas, challenge existing solutions, and make a strong contribution to the development of Montenegro,” stated Governor Radović.

Reflecting on the European integration process, the Governor emphasised that upcoming obligations and the future integration of the CBCG into European institutions and bodies will require the further strengthening of professional capacities. In this context, the scholarship programme also represents an investment in a new generation of economists, lawyers, and information technology experts who can contribute to the modernisation of the financial system and further institutional development.

The Governor also thanked the representatives of Montenegrin universities for their high-quality cooperation, emphasising that connecting educational institutions and the CBCG is important for creating opportunities for young people to develop and apply their knowledge and abilities in Montenegro.

The selection of scholarship holders evaluated academic success, proficiency in the English language, awards at national and international competitions, and social engagement through work in student and other organisations promoting diversity, inclusion, and activities of public interest. One of the criteria was also the alignment of the study programme with the CBCG's business needs and priorities.

The CBCG launched the "AcKnowledge the Knowledge" programme in 2024 as part of its corporate social responsibility activities, aiming to support talented young people and their professional development. Through the continuous implementation of the programme, the CBCG strives to contribute to the development of professional staff and create conditions for the knowledge and potential of young generations to be recognised and valued in Montenegro.
