CBCG and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering Sign the Memorandum on Implementing Joint Activities

The Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), Radoje Žugić, and the Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering at the University of Montenegro, Saša Mujović, signed today the Memorandum on Implementing Joint Activities. The Memorandum aims to intensify cooperation between the CBCG and this university education institution in developing new technologies in the financial market.

In the coming period, the CBCG and the Faculty of Electrical Engineering will, under with the Memorandum, cooperate more closely on encouraging research and creating programmes and projects for developing fintech in banking and payment services and financial education for fintech. The two institutions will also work together to promote platforms for developing new financial market technologies.


During the Memorandum signing, Governor Žugić emphasised that, by supporting the fintech development in banking and payment services, the CBCG strives to improve the financial market in Montenegro. The Governor added that he saw the Faculty of Electrical Engineering as an important partner in achieving that goal. With their knowledge and experience, the institution’s professional staff contribute significantly to the banking sector’s faster and more successful digitalisation and modernisation.


Dean of the Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Saša Mujović, expressed satisfaction with future cooperation, primarily since “the CBCG is an extremely modern institution that follows modern trends, and whose management and employees recognize the science’s importance for the prosperity of society as a whole."
