CBCG awarded Annual Awards for 2021

The Central Bank of Montenegro awarded the Central Bank of Montenegro Annual Award for 2021.

The competent commission comprised of prominent university professors and CBCG experts decided to grant the best diploma thesis, the best master’s thesis, and the best doctoral thesis in banking and monetary policy and theory.

The award for the best master’s thesis was given to Lazar Vlahović for his paper titled “Central Bank Digital Currency – Challenges and Opportunities”.

The award for the best master’s thesis was shared equally between Nikola Đalović for his paper “Econometric analysis of probability determinants in Europe’s largest banks” and Anđela Vlahović for her paper “Ranging factors determining the acceptability and the use of internet banking services – comparison of European advanced economies and countries in transition.

The award for the best doctoral thesis was given to Elvis Lekić for his paper “Effects of informational revolution on banking sector’s transformation using Southeastern countries as an example”.

Vice-Governor Zorica Kalezić presented the awards to winners. She emphasised that, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 20 exceptionally high-quality works with incorporated comparative analyses have arrived. This indicates that the younger generations are investing more and more in knowledge and personal development.

The CBCG Annual Award was established in 2007 to encourage the development of scientific thought and promote young professionals in Montenegro. It consists of the plaque and the cash amount of 2,000 euros for the best diploma thesis, 3,000 euros for the best master`s thesis, and 4,000 euros for the best doctoral dissertation.
