The CBCG Governor, Ms Irena Radović, participated in the Women Economic Forum & G100 Meting – Balkans 2024 on 2 and 3 October in Skopje. This two-day event, organised in cooperation with UNDP and the Association of Women Managers, brought together more than 200 entrepreneurs, representatives of governments, financial institutions, civil society and academia from the region's countries.

During the forum, key topics were discussed through several panels, including financial inclusion, sustainability through ESG reporting, regional cooperation, and business innovation. The participants had the opportunity to share experiences on strategies and concrete initiatives that have successfully improved financial inclusion and the best economic development practices.

Governor Radović and the Governor of the National Bank of North Macedonia, Ms Anita Angelovska Bezhoska, opened the second day of the meeting. In her address, the CBCG Governor highlighted the importance of regional cooperation and creating policies that encourage sustainable economic development. "Stronger regional cooperation and better governance are key to overcoming challenges and achieving long-term and sustainable solutions, and inclusion is one of the most important factors of stronger economic development," said Governor Radović.

At last year's World Economic Forum G100 held in London, Ms Irena Radović was recognised for her leadership in sustainable and inclusive financing. On the same occasion, she was elected G100 global leader and chairperson of the "Financial Inclusion and Corporate Board Readiness" group.
