CBCG Governor Meets the Ambassador of France

The CBCG Governor, Ms. Irena Radović, met today with the Ambassador of France to Montenegro, H.E. Ms. Anne-Marie Maskay.


H.E. Ambassador Maskay congratulated the Governor on taking term of office and expressed the full readiness of the Embassy of France to contribute to strengthening cooperation between the two countries and Montenegro’s acceleration on its European path.


Governor Radović informed Her Excellency of the current situation in the banking sector and the CBCG’s plans to continue the domestic regulations’ harmonisation with European directives, strengthening internal capacities and providing prerequisites for introducing innovations in the financial market to benefit citizens and the economy. Green transition, digitisation and promotion of gender equality are areas requiring full attention and stronger engagement in the coming period, Governor Radović said.


Today’s meeting concluded that a central bank, which successfully performs its functions and preserves financial stability, is an important backbone on the way to the country’s economic prosperity.


The interlocutors agreed that both sides remain open to strengthening the good cooperation so far through exchanging experiences and good practices. They also remain ready to contribute to the intensifying economic relations between the two countries in the coming period.
