CBCG Governor opens the Global Money Week

20/03/2023

The CBCG started the celebration of the eleventh Global Money Week with a lecture of Governor Radoje Žugić to the pupils of the Secondary vocational school “Mirko Vešović” on the CBCG role as a supervisor.

Governor Žugić discussed with third-grade students and their teachers the most current topics – inflation, the impact of monetary policy on the country’s economic conditions, public debt sustainability, cashless payments, etc.

Today's lecture is the first in a series of activities that the CBCG will use to celebrate Global Money Week from 20 to 26 March 2023 this year under the slogan “Plan your money, plant your future”. It continues the continuous work on financial education and contributes to acquiring knowledge, skills and behaviour to make proper financial decisions and wise money management in the future.

Global Money Week is a global event that the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) celebrates in 176 countries. The CBCG has been participating actively in the global campaign since its launch in 2012.
