Governor of the CBCG meets the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lovćen Banka AD

Governor of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG), Mr. Radoje Žugić, met today the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Lovćen Banka AD, Mrs. Aleksandra Popović. 

At the meeting held today, it was stated that the banking sector had been recording excellent results and that all banking operation ratios improved.


The Governor noted that such positive result of the banking sector undoubtedly included the contribution of Lovćen banka, which increased its capital by some five million euros during the last year thus additionally strengthening its solvency. “The CBCG highly commends investment into capital, as it guarantees safer and more resistant banking sector, and thus higher financial stability”, pointed Governor Žugić.


Mrs. Popović informed the Governor on Lovćen banka’s plans aimed at further strengthening of its position at the local market. “We are actively working on expanding the network of Lovćen Banka’s branch offices, primarily focusing on Montenegro’s northern part with a view to its supporting”.


It was agreed to continue cooperation and dialogue on important issues concerning Lovćen banka’s business strategy, and to support the planned activities under the CBCG’s competence.
