11/04/2019
On the occasion of celebrating 11 April, the Central Bank of Montenegro Day, a ceremonial presentation of the CBCG 2019 Annual Awards was held today.
The CBCG Annual Award was established in 2007 with the aim of encouraging development of scientific thought and promoting young professionals in Montenegro and it consists of the plaque and the cash amount of 2,000 thousand euros for the best diploma thesis, 3,000 thousand euros for the best master`s thesis, and 4,000 thousand euros for the best doctoral thesis.
The competent commission comprised of the prominent university professors and CBCG experts decided to grant the award for the best bachelor thesis equally to Ms. Ivana Tošković for her paper titled The Assessment of Monetary Policy Credibility in the Currency Board Regime and Ms. Zorana Zeković for her paper titled Banking market in Montenegro: Macroeconomic Approach.
The best doctoral thesis award was granted to Ms. Bojana Femić Radosavović for her paper The Influence of new media on customers’ loyalty at the example of Montenegro’s Banking Sector.
The commission decided not to award the best master’s thesis this year since the only received paper had not covered the competition topic.
The awards were presented by the Vice-Governor of the CBCG, Mr. Miodrag Radonjić, who pointed out that the Central Bank is committed to the development of the scientific thought and that by pursuing this and similar activities “this institution aims to send out a message that knowledge is the most valuable resource”.
Pointing out the quality of awarded papers, Ms. Marijana Mitrović Mijatović, the Director of the Sector for Financial Stability, Research and Statistics, expressed the satisfaction that such researches contribute not only to the banking sector, but also the wider academia.
