The Council of the Central Bank of Montenegro (CBCG) held a meeting today and adopted the Decision amending the Decision on interim measures to mitigate the negative impact of the COVID-19 epidemic on the financial system.

The first amendment to the Decision refers to the extension of the moratorium on loan repayment for those beneficiaries whose employment was terminated from 31 March 2020 or later as a result of the COVID 19 epidemic’s adverse impact. The extension shall apply until 31 December this year.

It also adopted an amendment expanding the list of priority activities within the meaning of the Decision and the coverage of loan beneficiaries entitled to previously adopted measures of the Central Bank (moratorium, approval and restructuring of loans with preferential regulatory treatment). The mentioned list includes the activity of receiving and dispatching passengers and buses in road transportation, under code 5221: Service activities incidental to land transportation.

The Council also discussed other issues within its competence.
